Lovin' that baby

Cooper is such a joy...he's just amazing! He's getting so strong, rolling over, standing up with support, and droolin' like a faucet! I'm amazed at how much drool can be produced by something so small! :-) He had a cold last week, but is doing better, and he also finally slept without his swaddle...we have him now in a sleep sack for warmth. He loves it! His teeth are really coming in and he just smiles like crazy and tries to chew on everything. We love you, Cooper!

not a new development

we have a few series of pictures of Cooper on his stomach, holding up his head, but i just realized i hadn't posted any!
so, here's one with the obligatory drool-drop on his chin.

Ah yes! This is the famous paparazzi photo...Cooper wanted the camera out of his face!!! I forgot to post earlier that our dear little man got his first two bottom teeth in on Sunday night! They both came thru the gums at the same time. He's doing well with it, after a bit of crying that first night. He likes to touch them when he wakes up, and he chews on everything...his hand, our hand, burp cloths, teething rings, cat tails...just kidding. But he looks GREAT! We love you, Coop!

Mom's post

Hello! Here's another picture of our sweet baby boy! I'm finally creating a post for little Cooper's blog...I've been so bad for not doing this until now! :-) I'm just technologically challenged, and it's taken me a while to get this figured out! :-) Our sweet boy is the love of our lives...the best thing ever! Here he is sleeping sweetly. He's sleeping thru the night mostly now...from at least 11pm to 6am plus or minus an hour...but there are of course still the occassional nights where he wakes up before that to eat. He's such a blessing and we love him sooooo much! I promise to post on here now more often, and add new little pics from time to time. I'll send out a note when something's been added from my end. We love and miss you all, and hope you enjoy seeing our little one!

(another) older picture - plus a newer one

since Tobi still hasn't taken the time to register and post, i'm going to continue the Ross and Cooper theme and post a picture that will allow everyone to easily decide if he looks more like me or mom!

this is a picture taken a mere 5 days into his existence, and next to him is my original passport photo. dad was visiting and had brought a box of stuff from my childhood to share. everyone got busy rooting through it and tobi's mom found the passport photo...



and here's a picture of cooper from just the other day (to make up for continually posting old pictures)... he is, in fact, already an all star. as correctly identified by his shirt.

metrics

Cooper just had his 4 month checkup on Friday, he's currently in the 70th percentile in both height and weight, but only in the 25th percentile as far as head circumference.
what can i say? Cornell men aren't concerned about the size of the head, it's all about the density. um, i think...

regardless, he has a clean bill of health and is meeting all of the other expected benchmarks for his age - head strength, pushing himself up when on his stomach, etc.
he also has fingernails like wolverine, hence the scratches on his head/face. we're not abusing him (yet), but we do like to joke that he is in Fight Club, because he so often wakes in the morning with new wounds.

anyway, (again to catch up) here are the pictures of cooper at one, two, three, and four months.
we've tried to take them with the same blanket and blue bear to maintain perspective.
