Birthday Party!

First, I do want everyone to know that we decided to do a family only birthday party this year. Tobi had been measuring early with the baby, so instead of risking a canceled party due to labor/delivery, we opted for a smaller family only gathering. As it turns out, much of the family couldn't make it anyway, being out of town or having other plans, so it was pretty much a thanksgiving redux as far as attendees. Still a great time though. Many laughs.

We started the party later in the day so that Cooper could nap at his normal time. So, when he woke up, he was very surprised that there were more people at the house than when he had gone to sleep.

Grammy, Coop and Devlin. Cooper flirting with Devlin, as usual.

We did some dancing. And by that I mean Cooper wanted to dance, and when Cooper dances, everyone else is forced to dance as well.

Dinnertime with Devlin!! (Check out her look of concentration!)

The cake, prior to dis-assembly.

Release the hounds!

Yum.

Cake for Mommy.

Cake for Daddy.

The whole gang. (Well, the partial gang...)

A bell Grammy gave Cooper, in memorium the previous days trip to the mall Santa and the 'Polar Express' theme.

Stacking blocks!

A microphone! (Cooper likes 'Sid the Science Kid', so we thought he could identify with the mic.)

Mmmmm. Wrapping paper.

New (soft) balls to play with.

A new outfit. How dapper.

A vacuum? Awesome!! (Cooper really does like the vacuum; he's been pretending to vacuum with many other toys the past few weeks.)

Vacuuming while Uncle David plays with Elmo.

I had to include this one, because it shows the 'just after' reaction of David getting hit in the face with a ball. FUN!
