The Christmas Series Continued Even More

Cooper did eventually decide to play with a few of his new toys. Actually, he was forced to play with his toys because we had to clean up for later in the day when Tobi's in-town family came over for Christmas dinner.

I had to post this one because what he was doing reminded me of Gary Larson's Far Side 'School For the Gifted' cartoon. Unfortunately, I was unable to catch him actually doing the hand-on-the-door thing, but I promise he was doing it!!

I'm not sure what exactly was going on here with Grammy, but I thought it was a funny picture. It's like they're looking for a contact lens!?

Even though the bib says "Merry Christmas", I don't think Cooper was in a festive mood at this point. He may have been contemplating how to get his hands on another box or some tissue paper.

The Christmas Series Continued

Here are some great pictures from Christmas morning.

A musical snow globe that turned out to be one of Cooper's favorite toys. In fact, it is the only Christmas item still not put away. Unfortunately, the battery runs low quickly; rendering 'We Wish You a Merry Christmas' almost unrecognizable.

Cooper learning to rip the paper. Well, more like practicing. If he holds any paper long enough, it's going to get ripped.

Books!

Already reading on his own. My how quickly they grow.

What is this toy called 'Box'? It's the most amazing thing. I want to carry it around all day.

Clothes? That sucks. I want more boxes.

Cat treats? Seriously? I'm calling CPS.

Hmmmm. New red firetruck that rolls? Or...

The paper it came wrapped in.

The Christmas Series

The grumpy elf with the slightly tight outfit.

Finally smiling (?) about something, probably the promise of too many toys.

Sitting down for the first annual reading of 'The Night Before Christmas'.

It was a toss up (somewhat literally) as to who exactly would eat the cookies and/or drink the milk. And, it should be repeated, we had to use soy milk because the cats would descend upon the scene even quicker than they did otherwise. In retrospect, we maybe should have used some of Tobi's milk - the cats would ignore that and Cooper might just pay attention! (Sorry to those that are grossed out by breast-milk talk.)

"You want me to do what with the cookies and soy milk?"

Getting caught up. Again.

Well, there's been a lot going on since the holidays, including travel to VA by Cooper and Mom; as well as the recent passing of Cooper's Grandfather Marshall. So, without further ado, I'm back on the horse of updates! (Looks like a palomino?) I'll start with some videos and pictures from back in December...

Here's a video clip of Cooper back when he was still practicing his standing/lifting:

Cooper loves football so much he even likes the taste! (thanks for the football Pops!)

Here's Cooper after he's been winterized by his beautiful mother:

Birthday and stuff...

Hello! Here are some pictures of our sweet little guy...he turned ONE on Dec 4th! We can't believe it! The first shot here is actually from our wedding anniversary on 10/25...Cooper went with us to dinner! :-) The second is from his first birthday...all three of us...interesting how I'm wearing the SAME shirt...I guess I like lavender. Anyway.........
Good grief, in the third pic right before Christmas here I am AGAIN in that same shirt...hehehe! We're headed out Christmas shopping and it was very cold and Cooper loved his hat! The fourth pic is from Cooper's birthday...he did not like his cake...way too messy and way too sweet!!! But he had a GREAT time at the party as did we all! We'll post some more from that day soon! Also coming soon...Christmas pics...reading The Night Before Christmas as well as pics with cookies and milk! (Soy milk so that the cats would not drink it...we needed to leave some for Santa...and mommy would drink what Santa didn't want). Happy New Year, everyone! Cooper is walking around like crazy now...carrying stuff around and trying to run and falling and having a blast! It's so fun to see him move around and explore!
