Ok. So it's already known that I'm an awful, lazy, and awfully lazy blogger who will not update for 6, 8, or even 10 months at a time. But in my defense, I drink a lot of beer.
Anyway, I've come up with a process that (hopefully, as this is the first test) allow me to not only catch up quickly, but allow me to post faster (and keep up in the future).
Fingers crossed, here it goes....

------

These are random pictures from December of 2010. I'm skipping the big birthday party for the boys and the Christmas/New Years pictures for now, until I see how this post works (or if it works...)

Hudson and the Christmas tree. He didn't remember the first one he saw, 'cause he was only ten days old.

Hudson (partially obscured), Daddy and Cooper checking out the amazing Christmas-time peeing reindeer. Thanks to the city of Murphy for that.

Cooper's Christmas(?) hat. Thanks again, city of Murphy.

Daddy's birthday cupcake (ironic use of the number 3? or just lack of other candle/numbers?)

Same as above with Hudson in the shot...

Cooper's birthday cupcake (the one from his actual birthday, not the big party).

Nice picture of Mommy and Daddy on Cooper's birthday. (Mommy forcing Daddy to smile, 'cause Daddy doesn't like to be in pictures.)

NEW UNDERWEAR! SCORE!

Quick visit from Pop Pop. (Reading from a Curious George compilation. Some of these are shockingly DARK, and can be scary... "Curious George Huffs Ether" should be the name of one of these.... Geez.)

Playhouse!

Nice pic of Mommy and Hudson.

Hudson and his (upended) birthday cupcake. (The one from his actual birthday.)

Early November at the Arboretum

What a beautiful day it was in early November at the Dallas Arboretum. Let's jump right in, and we'll follow it up with a bunch of random November pictures.

Mommy and Coop at the entrance (Daddy driving Hudson, and taking pics. Lots of pics with Mommy's behind. Oops. :)

Fountain and pumpkins.

Pumpkin house!

I think this was Cooper's "Strong Dance"?

Mommy and the boys.

Cooper doesn't like strange textures.

Mommy and the boys again.

Hobbit house (Maintenance shack?)

With Hudson!

Daddy and H-town.

Making a wish!

In the covered wagon

Western settler house. (This place has everything.)

Mommy and Coop resting halfway on their run around the field.

Leaf on a stick!!!!
\
Daddy and Hudson again.

Heading back toward the entrance, some small falcon (?) swooped in and landed on a tree. A little hard to see....

Here's a better shot.

Mommy and Cooper looking around some nicely decorated stairs. Hudson was fast asleep by now in the stroller, so we left. But a great day all around and Cooper sure does sound cute saying 'Arboretum'.

More November pics soon!

Halloween 2010, Pt. 3

Part Three of Halloween was actually on Halloween!!! Wheeeeeee!
This was a trip to a pumpkin farm (don't worry, it was a Sunday, and all the good pumpkins were gone, so it wasn't really a madhouse.) And yes, as you can see the Steelers were playing that day too. (Loss in NO, 20-10. Geaux Saints.) It was fun, a little hot, and not many pictures of both boys looking right at the camera.
The later pictures are a few from Halloween night at home. I stayed home with The Fish in the Bowl to hand out candy, and Thing Two took the Cat in the Hat around the neighborhood. Strangely, the Cat got timid and after the first few houses did not want to go up to the door to say trick or treat, so it was a walk around to look at decorations. Nice.

Daddy telling Cooper not to eat what's in the cup.

Feeding goats.

Mommy and Hudson. It's bright!

The obligatory hand holding picture. (Awwwwwwwwww.)

Mommy and Hudson again.

Not really a great shot of me and Coop, but check out the belly on the guy behind us. Sweeet!

Mommy and the boys.

Interesting maze thing. Cooper liked it. I liked stepping over red tarps to catch up/get out.

Run away!

I thought this would be cuter than it actually is. (Mental note, pick up Rogaine shampoo.)

Mommy and the boys again. Super cute across the board as usual.

Hudson meets Pumpkin.

Home and ready to go out and get candy at all the houses.

Bag for candy!!

Checking out the spider after asking Mommy to go to the door to get candy.

Checking out the pumpkin, still refusing to go to door to ask for candy.

Arranging candy into a road for another candy 'car' to drive on.

Thing One and Fish in a Bowl holding down the fort. Handing out (and eating) candy. (What can I say, the belly of the bystander inspired me.)

The candy 'car' vroooming around.

Thing Two and the Fish in the Bowl

Cat in the Hat knows a lot about cameras.

Mommy knows how to work it.

Halloween 2010, Pt. 2

The second part of Halloween for us was the trip to Ft. Worth for our friends annual Halloween party. It's gotten way more kid friendly over the years, so it starts and ends earlier, but it's still a bunch of new kinds of fun. Not too many pictures here, but a few cute ones.

Here's the whiskers and nose we forgot the night before

Thing One, the Fish in the Bowl, and a Ghostbuster

Running in the yard
is not so hard
when you say it like that
Cat in the Hat

I do enjoy my pretty pink house
I would enjoy it with a mouse

A thoughtful moment inside the house (Coop didn't spend too much time anywhere else actually...)

The Millers with their creative Butterfly Catcher theme. Cooper, unfortunately, didn't let them keep the net for very long.
