August 2012

(For anyone that finds themselves here not knowing what these pictures are, go here to find the beginning of our Port O'Connor beach vacation.)

Cooper striking a pose.

Me and Coop running in the water. The moat requires more water!!

This was the crowning achievement of castle building on our trip. We actually built this on the foundation of someone else's sand castle (that had burnt down, fallen over and then sunk into the swamp?). So, in true feudal fashion, we let someone else do the hard work for us.

On the way to the gift shop. Less than 5 minutes from where we stayed. The beach sure is tiring!

The gift shop!

Back from the gift shop, but still sleeping.

On the way home! We stopped in Austin and spent the night with Rob and Jen (Thanks guys, if you see this!)

Sleeping.

Snacking.

And the next morning we went to check out the UT clock tower. While it is UT (blech! Go Frogs!), Cooper still loves him some clock tower. And as many times as we've driven past it on our way through Austin, it was time to get a closer look. Cooper did not like the bells ringing though, as you can plainly see.

Hudson is only moderately impressed. It is UT after all. :)

Mommy and Cooper, and a not really interested Hudson.

Much better all together.

Cooper and Hudson, as tall as a tower!

July 2012 - Pt 4

Feeding the seagulls.

Strolling off the pier.

Swinging on the swings! Fun. (Until Cooper almost fell off.) No harm no foul though, and fun continued.

Cooper decided to try on a floaty suit he found. We were proud of him, even though it was, well, snug.

This was as the Johnsons were leaving too, so the neighbors got an eyeful if they were paying attention.

Me and Coop.

Hudson long cured of his dislike of the sand.

One boy, all alone at the beach.

Again, no problem with the sand.

Ferrying water to a sand castle moat, I think.

Yep, that's Coop out there.

More water for the moat.

Not the best castle we made. The towers on this one paid the price. Hudzilla was not a fan of towers.

July 2012 - Pt 3

We thought that they might not be liking it, but they got used to it and had fun.

Nice ripples Cooper!

Hudson figuring out that salt water has salt in it and does NOT taste like freshwater.

Other people infringing on out beach space. C'mon man.

Hudson spent a lot of the first day in the shelter, deciding he didn't like the sand. Eventually we convinced him that going in the water would remove the sand, and after that he was all over the place. Keep going, you'll see.

Me and Coop out in the water piling up sand.

Eating in the shelter. (What he did until we convinced him that the water was a good place to be.)

NOM NOM NOM.

Popsicles on the porch swing. An almost nightly occurance.

Yummmy!

Pre or post meal.

We did a lot of Olympic watching while we were at the beachhouse.

Hey! The kitchen!

The Johnsons at the beach in the shelter.

There's got to be more in here.

Seriously. I'm going to try and get it.

This was our attempt to create Atlantis. It worked okay.

Out on the pier one evening. Had fun feeding some seagulls.

There's a few more pictures in Part 4. Do it, view it.
