August 2011

After the San Francisco trip, things were pretty quiet. Nice and normal.
Well, normal if this is what normal is....

Semi naked boys.

Semi naked boys attacking the camera.

Hudson and his "smile" in front of a tent.

A boy in underwear using paper towel cardboard as binoculars. (Clarkson University would be proud!?)

Hudson and Cooper as paramedics, using Orange Man as a patient/victim.

Semi naked boys in a pillow filled corner. (Probably trying to get out of doing something.)

Hudson and one of his favorite books. It has a spinner on the front.

Cooper hiding (semi-naked) behind the recliner in the nursery. Why? Why not.

Hudson joins him, and they both "smile".

Serious about stacking cups. Real serious.

What can I say, it was hot this summer. The boys spent a lot of time in a state of semi-dress/undress.

July 2011 - Part 3

Here are a few more pictures from San Francisco...

Tobi looking great, coming off the shuttle from the hotel to the ceremony/reception.

Me and my lady!

Me and Walker, who needed comfort because his lady stayed home :(

My Obi-Wan Kenobi Boutineer. Chris and Alyson are the coolest!

Walker and I in the post ceremony crowd.

Tobi doing her best Maya Rudolph as Donatella Versace impression!

Myself and the wifely one, yet again.

Me, at the table.

Guess who was sitting next to me??

I like to think that, out of sheer lonliness, Walker was putting the moves on one of our new friends Rich. Hee Hee.

Golden Gate from ceremony/reception venue.

Post reception, on the way to more partying. Yes, there was an open bar... which means....

Drunken trolley dancing. (Although I think I look like a charming yet determined Terminator that had been reprogrammed to party like it's 1999.)

No, not throwing up. Still dancing. Still photos don't capture the true smoothness of my dancefloor (trolleyfloor) moves.

Surprised? You bet. No one asked me to teach them my fancy dancy moves.

Tobi contemplating finding a divorce lawyer?

Laying down the law about people not partying/dancing enough.

And finally, a picture Tobi took the next day in Chinatown as I sat on a small shaded stairway nearby, nursing a hangover.

We also briefly made it to Golden Gate park where there was a giant Lindy class going on. Way cool!

The Japanese garden... we didn't go in because we were short on time... maybe next time.

July 2011, Part 2

The next two entries are not about Coop and Hudson, except to mention that we left them at home with Tobi's mom, for our first trip away from the boys. We traveled to San Francisco for the wedding of our friend Chris to his wonderful bride Alyson.
I tried to include typical SanFran touristy pics, or good pictures of Tobi and I, or of friends, but tried to stay away from pictures of the ceremony as much as I could to respect the wishes of Chris and Alyson. Enjoy!

Tobi in the giant chair in the lobby of our hotel.

Our first cable car ride.

Tobi's attempt to take a picture of the two of us on our first cable car ride. (Lookin' good honey!)

After we got off the cable car... at the top of Lombard St.

View of Alcatraz where we disembarked from cable car.

After walking down Lombard St. (No, we don't know the people posing for the picture on the left... just a happy coincidence.)

A few stereotypical SF houses.

Golden Gate from Coit Tower parking area.

Coit Tower.

Alcatraz from Coit Tower.

Golden Gate from top of Coit Tower.

Downtown from Coit Tower.

Walking down Pier 39.

Farmer's Market on Pier 39.

Bay Tour with the wedding party, family of groom/bride and other assorted stragglers.

Tobi and I, Golden Gate cameo.

O beautiful for spacious skies, For amber waves of grain, For purple mountain majesties Above the fruited plain! America! America!
Healthy skepticism about the amount of wine being consumed?

Tobi and I on another cable car ride, better aim and result this time. (Yes, I did eventually shave for the wedding...)

Chinatown entrance...

To be continued...
