January 2011 - The Fix?

We made it to the current year!!! Little steps. Little steps my friends.

Mommy and Hudson. (Football on the TV.)

Cooper hanging out. Looking like he belongs with the smokers outside the high school. "What you lookin' at?"

The boys attacking daddy. I don't recall this, but I think it's because they wanted me to be wearing a Steelers hat. I was conflicted by all of my apparel choices - TCU Rose bowl win, Steelers possible impending SuperBowl appearance... what to wear, what to wear.

I like to think of this one as an apology for attacking me earlier. (In reality, it's probably just another well disguised attack.)

Cooper wearing my Polamalu jersey as a superman cape. Not far off there Cooper, not far at all. (Except as we would later observe, a lackluster appearance/performance during the Superbowl. Leading us to wonder if all those cheese-heads are actually a compound of kryptonite...)

More flying. (Running).

More flying. (Yes, still just running with sound effects.)

More snow.

Hudson chewing on 'Doo-dee' the green nosed reindeer toy he got for Christmas.

Close up. (Bonus: no boogers and only a little drool.)

Mommy and Hudson. :)

I think I just got poked in the eye.

Playing (agressively?) in the snow.

Hudson still not sure exactly what it all means.

Me and the boys!

Cooper playing in the snow at night? Was I even around to stop this? (There was also a picture of a "snowman". But it's better to save that and not risk embarrassing all the other real snow men out there by trying to group this one in with them.)

Uncle Walker and Cooper.

Bibi and Jacob.

Crazy, crazy people.

And we'll end January with a sweet brother picture.

Last Christmas and New Year's Eve, Pt. 2

We left off last with Mommy's new comfy slippers...

Jampy's new Captain America sweatshirt.

Best gift of the Christmas season... (I mean except for celebrating the birth of Christ the Savior, and all that.)

Coincidentally, we had a Christmas tree.

New Year's Eve:

Anxiously awaiting the party.

Anxiously awaiting their glasses of champagne.

Live (or replay - who can tell anymore?) footage of people outside, somewhere, celebrating a new year.

Party at our house.

Just kidding, now the party's starting.

The boys are partying, in their dreams!

Probably not the end of the bottle.

Happy New Year. (Hopefully I will get the next 8 months up on the blog before the next new year.)

Last Christmas and New Year's Eve, Pt. 1

Ok. Moving along to the end of last year. Here are some Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Eve pictures.

Christmas Eve:

Reading the Night Before Christmas (or whatever it's called).

Mommy and Hudson, by the fireplace (with care).

Milk and cookie time. Be careful, dropping those lands you on the naughty list.

Milk and cookies by the (childproof-ish) fireplace.

Bedtime!

Also Bedtime!

Christmas Day:
Some of the early pictures are just our little family of four. Then Jammy and Jampy are added later.

The Potty Elmo. Great in concept. Didn't really help us get things going down 'that' road at all.

New winter hat/gloves. Totally needed these last winter. Right now? Not so much.

Look ma, squeaky blocks!

Hudson would rather play with Ben Roethlisberger. Ben Roethlisberger would in turn rather play in the SuperBowl. (Or with an underage co-ed. (Allegedly)).

Green Eggs and Ham!! (We do like them, Sam I Am).

Evidence that Potty Elmo was used at least (only) once.

Christmas lunch/dinner.

Evil 'Ri-hian' roll dictator demands sacrifice. (Cooper had problems pronouncing Hawiian Rolls.)

Happy eating holiday foot.

Many rolls were consumed, and there was happiness.

Toolbox! Still a favorite.

Sleighbell was more interesting item.

So was Jammy's new earring.

Mommy's new comfy slippers.

Last Year's Birthday Party

As promised, here are some select photographs (digital no less!) from last years combined "Cooper and Hudson Birthday Extravaganza".
Very timely.

Anyway, it was a construction themed party of Cooper's choosing. Hudson didn't have much to say at all about the theme.

The official cake. Officially sitting on the official birthday table.

The aforementioned official birthday table!

Mommy, Jampy and (soon to be) birthday boy. Looks sleepy? He woke up from his nap to party. What a champ!

Mommy and (recent) birthday boy. Not sure why he looks tired.

Hudson's birthday (cup)cake. This was probably the last time we gave him something to eat that he didn't finish.

Hudson post cupcake. Notably unimpressed. It could be that he is not normally asked to perform his eating tricks in front of a large crowd.

Party-goers. (Babies do indeed put a cramp in the way parties are thrown... the jello shots only have jello now.)

Jammy and Uncle Thomas. He hadn't eaten vegetables before eating some cake, so Jammy was about to put the hammer down. (Metaphorically?)
Also, we realized after the fact that the inflatable hammers were the worst type of party favor (for all the boys that were at the party). Very easy to run with, even easier to hammer on other children. Also easy to pretend the hammer is a sword, and sword fight with...
Big apologies to all other parents. Next year we'll try a knitting/darning tea party theme to keep things a little more calm...

Present opening craziness.

Spectators.

Construction toys! Score!

Stacking blocks! (Many have been chewed/stood on since and are currently not quite as stackable.)
